How to become more charitable forever. Over a certain period of years we may have accumulated wealth and we may be in a great position, we have enough provisions to meet our demands and save for the future. This is the best time to look at those below you and extend then your hand with your gratitude and generousity. There are many ways to give to charity and the overwhelming feeling of goodness that you feel is unexplainable. Here are 5 steps to how to become more charitable forever.

STEP 1 - CHOOSE AN AMOUNT

Look at your monthly outgoings and then look at your monthly income, if there is a surplus then why not donate a percentage that you are comfortable with to a charity. Some people dont give charity as they think that a miniscule amount will make no difference what so ever, they are mistaken - many miniscule amounts lead to a vast sum of money that could make the difference between living and dieing.

STEP 2 - CHOOSE A CHARITY

This is the exciting part, choose a charity that you want to support, you may have a strong conviction against child abuse so you can choose the NSPCC who help children against their abusers and the torture them (Sorry they dont torture them, however I think they should) https://http://www.nspcc.org.uk/Applications/Donations/DonatePredonation.aspx. If you have no compulsion to help children then you can choose a charity of your choice http://www.charitybase.net/index.html

STEP 3 - GET GIFT AID

If you are in full time employment and pay taxes and avoid hiding money under the mattress where the tax man can see then you can possibly claim gift aid, gift aid is where the government pay 28% of whatever you donate so if you donate £1.00 then the government add another 28 pence, this is a great initiative the governement have introduced and makes a change from the usual policies that promote global financial meltdown.

STEP 4 - FUNDRAISING

If you have a larger than life personality you may wish to indulge in fundraising, this can be a great way to meet new like minded people who work effortlessly to help the unfortunate and destitude. There are many ways to fundraise starting from streaking across a NFL crunch match or taking part in a marathon with shackles on your feet, whichever decision you make you stand to bring people togeater to give to those who need it more that you (and me, and the Bankers at AIG).

STEP 5 - WORK IN THE COMMUNITY

The community has contributed to making you what you are today, if you are sucessful then it is time to give back (if your unsucessful then SSshhhh). By giving back to the community you will see the youth of today flourish into the leaders of tomorrow, what you teach the children today, they will teach the world tomorrow, if you save today you can save tomorrow (I am being dragged off the podium now). Whatever you do decide to do rest assured that your positive actions will lay the foundation for future success.
