Making Your Personal Website For Your Own Use

Make your own personal website whether it's a paid .com or a free subdomain. How to market and use it for yourself

Making your own personal website is pretty easy. You first need a webhost that suites your personal needs. If you need blog hosting, google the best wordpress or moveable type blog hosts. Some hosting sites give you the tools you need to design the site's content to your liking. If you want columns, you can simply pick it from the layout and start from there. There are hundreds of websites with different layouts, and there's no right or wrong way to do it. You just have to figure out for yourself what design is right for you.

I have many little personal websites that I have enjoyed making. I recently created a gaming website for my own personal use. There are several embed flash games that I enjoy playing because they are quite amusing. Sometimes you get tired of going to the same website to play different flash games. I went to yolasites and created an easy template from their collection. The site header is at the top of the page, the menu is next and then each page's content. The site is very easy to navigate through because it's a simple personal design.

I created a personal site on hostingdude because I wanted a simple site to show off all of my writing site feeds. I write for several little networks and it's easy for a visitor to navigate through the writing via google's tabbed rss reader widget on each side. I fixed the size of the widget through pixel size and made the print big enough for individuals to see what I've written. It was pretty simple, but I think that my websites need some extra content to go along with my personal feeds. I want to put some type of traffic widget to get more traffic to my site. I could use feedjit or another traffic generator that shows feeds through a network without paying a heavy fee.

Some small subdomain sites don't get much traffic because they are personal sites. Subdomains are underneath the webhost's site name. They aren't a bad deal, but they don't have your label on them. Web domains with their own label get more traffic, but that doesn't mean you can't share your site between website friends and backlink sites to spider into your search engines. I have small sites under subdomain. I have a mirror to my writing site and a site about cartoon creation under google's subdomains. It's easy to use and sometimes like using your text editor or your blog creator. Create a small site using a personal interest and go from there. You can use sites like addme, feedjit, social bookmarks, and more to let other people know about your site. You have to get readerships to your blogs or sites by reading other people's sites. It's easy, just read.
