Short article giving advice for posting profiles to dating/singles sites.

Tips for posting profiles for women

Please note: these are not my personal opinions.

1. First and foremost don't type in CAPS. That is construed as shouting.

2. Forget the glamour shots. Men want to see you in a natural setting or pose.

3. Cover the cleavage. If he wants to see your boobs, they'll be ample time if you pursue a relationship.

4. Describe yourself honestly. A few extra pounds to a man means just that "a few". A few is not 30, 40 lbs. Few is 10-15 lbs. If you're a fatty say so. Most guys can figue out if your 5-0 and 225 lbs. what you look like. Sorry gals.

5. If you smoke say so. If you drink say so. If you meet a man and lie sooner or later you'll be found out.

6. Gaudy jewelry. Men don't like to see women who wear a ring on every finger or have fort knox hanging around their neck. Personally, I like little or no jewelry.

7. Makeup. Don't wear so much you look like a cheap whore. Frugal is good here.

8. Don't post a picture with you and your ex or former boyfriend. Take the time to have a photo made of YOU. The best picture I ever saw was a lady sitting in a homemade swing outdoors by a tree. It was very nice. Also make sure it is clear. Stay away from webcam shots. I have seen some good ones but on the whole they aren't as good as a photo.

9. Oh, speaking of pictures, try to post a head shot and a full body shot. That way there is no guesswork.

10. Please post a picture. Men want to at least have an idea of what you look like. Let's face it. You can say beauty is on the inside but the outer package has to look decent also. It's the nature of the beast. No offense.

11. I have heard a lot of men say "Boy, she's too picky" or "She has too many conditions for a man". Ok, I'm on your side with this one ladies. Guys, women have the right to say EXACTLY what they want in a man so don't get offended. You do the same thing...;-)

12. And lastly for now if a guy sends you an email and you are not interested politely let him know instead of not answering. A "NO" is more definite than NO answer at all. They might get their feelings hurt but we're all adults. Get over it dudes...

Ok, that's it for now. Ladies, if you have anything you think I should add here, drop me a line and I'll post it. Hope this helps.
