How to make money selling photos online. Another great way to make a passive residual income is to sell your photos online, if you are a budding photographer or know how to capture a great shot then this is a serious way to make money, many freelance photographers make a good earning from the residual income they receive online from ongoing royalties for the photos that have been purchased. Here are 5 steps to how to make money selling photos online.

STEP 1 - REGISTER

The first step is to go to http://www.fotolia.com and register with them, the registration process is relativley simple and free. You should also take the time to familiarise yourself with the contents and to become competent around the website, make sure you read the terms and conditions and never plagurise anybody elses work. Take a moment to read the frequently asked questions to get a better understanding of the website.

STEP 2 - EARNINGS

You can either purchase pictures or you can either receive rolalties from them once you upload the pictures. The pictures usually cost £0.07 which is about $0.10, you normally recieve 30% to 60% royalties for your pictures. If you are able to sell 1000 pictures you are likely to recieve about £42.00 which is about $60.00 everyday. There are proloific photograhers out there that are selling more pictures at a higher price and it is entirely upto you how much you can earn, the more effort you put the better the results will be.

STEP 3 - PAYMENTS

Payments are made to you with via paypal and last time I checked there is a £10.00 payment threshold you must reach before you can send a payment to you bank account. You can also have a cheque sent to you to your home address is you wish to opt for that payment method. There are no other charges and fotoloa.com make their revenue from the cut of money they receive from your photos.

STEP 4 - ROUTINE

Have a great routine in place, have a aim to take about 50 shots a day and then upload them, make sure that they are quality shots, if you can take 50 shots a day then in 30 days you will have about 1500 photos online, in one year you will have 18000 photos online, if you are good and have a 30% conversion rate then you set to make £226.00 or $350.00 per day in residual income. If you are really serious about making money and can take 100 pictures a day then you can make about £500.00 or $700.00 per day!

STEP 5 - PRACTICE

At first the quality of your pictures may not be good as some of the pictures you see on the websites, do not get disheartened, keep going and learn from your mistakes, invest in a quality camama and look at the areas where most of the revenue is being made and then look at the style of the most successful photographers. Once you build a great portfolio you can comfortably live off your passive income.
