  • SOLAR lights 1

READ ALL DIRECTIONS BEFORE BEGINING!

Measure with tape measure and pencil on timber, then cut: (1) 24 inch piece ,(1) 18 inch piece, (1) 12 inch piece, and (1) 6 inch piece. Take your sections, and assemble them with the tallest piece in the center, smallest right in front of the tallest, and the 12 and 18 inch piece to either side. With your screws and drill, attach the timbers together, by toe nailing (at an angle into the other timber)...top and bottom. Make sure to sink your screws, so they are not exposed. Once all is attached, use your auger bit to drill a hole about 2 inches deep right in the center of the tallest timber (center). Make sure it is straight so your solar light will be straight. drill 2 holes in the top, center of the plaque and paint it first front, then back. Set aside to dry. Cut dowel rod about 4 inches length. Hot glue the dowel rod into the 1 inch round hole you drilled at the top of the timber. You may want to trim a few inches off the solar mount to your height preference. Hot glue the solar mount to the dowel rod. Pre-arrange everything on the timbers, to see what you want it to look like, including cutting the artificial flowers and holding them in place..spanish moss..everything. Don't glue until you're satisfied. Make sure to leave enough room for name plaque to hang at the top. When ready, hot glue the nick nacks on first, artificial flowers next. Hot glue the spanish moss around the nick nacks, and various spots, randomly. Don't forget around the solar light at the top. When your plaque is dry, you may customise it with a name or just welcome. Then thread hemp through the holes you drilled. Thread enough to tie around the solar light, letting it dangle at desired height. Attach the solar light to the top of it's mount.
