Constant Content is a site where journalists and authors submit and sell authentic, well-written articles for whatever price they choose! Check it out!

If you have mad writing skills, and yet can't seem to find a legit writing job online, you're not alone! However, there are customers out there who seek quality, information-packed articles to publish on their websites and other media formats. So, if you're really hungry for the opportunity to showcase your stuff on a legitimate forum, and earn some serious bucks while you're at it, you may want to check out Constant Content.

Constant Content is a clearinghouse for serious writers who know the ins and outs of spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and composition. While anyone can submit an article for review, not every article will be accepted, and if you submit unacceptable work repeatedly, you will be suspended from writing for Constant Content. This site prides itself on being a leading resource for QUALITY content for sale on the internet.

While the guidelines may seem stringent and rejections may hurt feelings, these things are necessary in order for Constant Content to provide a much-needed product: Quality Writing! There are several resources available at their website to help beginning freelance writers work with the system:

  • Writing Style Guidelines and Rules
  • A site-run blog
  • A forum where all Constant Content authors can convene to get advice, ask questions, find out more about rejections, etc.

You can sell your article in one of three licensing formats:

-Usage rights

-Unique rights

-Full rights

You have the ability to name your price for each level of licensing, and can also allow "haggling", by putting a "Best Offer" notation on your article's listing.

There are three ways to sell your work on Constant Content:

-Public Requests

-Private Requests

-Submissions of your own choosing

Public Requests are posted as they come in to the system, and are open for any Constant Content writer to take a stab at. Private Requests happen when a customer likes your writing style, and "hires" you to write specific content for them, without competition from other authors on the site. Your choice of submissions is just that. You choose what you want to sell, submit it, it gets listed, and maybe someone will see it and buy it!

Unlike sites where you have to go through the hassle of bidding, and waiting for traffic, Constant Content is more of a consignment shop for content. Each authors full inventory is available and listed, and categorized by topic (art, career, family, etc.), with newest listings being featured on the Articles page. Customers can search for a given topic or simply browse.

While it is free to join, and to submit your work, once you sell an article, Constant Content does make a commission of 35% for each article, which they retain upon checkout. This commission is almost absurdly reasonable when you factor in the fact that you don't have to drive traffic to your articles.  Constant Content provides advertising, indexing on Search Engines, editing for quality, and a place to house your writing inventory for free. To make up for the commission, you simply adjust your article price to factor in the commission amount.

There are no guarantees with regards to sales, however,  most authors make their first sale within one to two weeks of joining the site. Your success depends upon your writing style and ability, and your ability to choose topics that are relevant to the buying market. It takes a considerably higher amount of dedication and effort than just 'blogging for pennies', but if you're serious about a writing career, there is not a better place to start than Constant Content.

Things to consider:

  • Taking the time to proofread, and pay close attention to grammar and sentence structure will mean more articles successfull accepted. Carelessness leads to rejections.
  • Success doesn't happen overnight, no matter what anyone says! So, if you become a Constant Content writer, be patient, keep writing quality articles, and in time you'll see your hard work and determination pay off!
  • Constant Content authors make a 5% commission on the sales of any other writer who signs up using their referral link.

Hey, thanks for the info on Constant Content. Hopefully before too long, my writing will be good enough to do this kind of thing. Currently I wouldn't quite put myself in the people-with-mad-writing-skills category. Well, maybe just the mad part. Someday I will give Constant Content a try.
