Tips for Saving Money and Frugal Living. Easy ways to cut back and save money.

Living frugal doesn't mean you have to give up everything you like to do. For many it is centered around the financial goals we have set for ourselves. Setting financial goals is an important step to living more frugal and saving money. Having a goal in mind will keep you motivated to make little money saving changes every day. And you will soon see money savings by living frugal.

** COUPONS **
Use coupons to maximize your savings each month. With saving money in mind, plan out your meals two weeks in advance and only shop for what you need for those two weeks. Shop your grocery ads and plan to buy a little extra when something is on special for a great price. Use your coupons. Check online coupon sites, product web sites and your local paper for your coupons. Savings for coupons can add up and lower your grocery spending!

** Eat Out Less Often **
By eating out less often you will save money. But being frugal doesn't need to mean giving up everything you like. Plan a meal out once or twice a month and be smart about it save money. Drink water and skip the appetizers. This will keep your bill lower. Buy The 2009 Entertainment Book of coupons to increase your savings when dining out. Order from the specials of the day and look for restaurants that offer special promotions for children.

** Brown Bag Your Lunches **
Brown bag your lunch and your kids lunches too! If you spend an average of $6 a day on eating out for lunch you will save $120 a month or $1440 a year! So pack a healthy lunch and you will net some extra money each month, maybe enough to save up for a vacation each year.

** Skip the fancy morning coffee **
Skip the fancy expensive coffee's each day and save an average of $80 a month or $960 a year! Make your own coffee or grab a cup at work. It really adds up over a year!

** Visit Your Library **
Take a trip to your local library or visit their website to see what they offer. Not only can you borrow books and magazines but you can borrow DVD's too. I recently logged onto our libraries website and now you can download MP3's. They offer many classes especially for young children....free entertainment. Use their internet service to save money too. So make a visit to your library or log on to learn more!

** Family Nights In **
Instead of going out and spending money on a movie and dinner, spend the evening in with your family. Rent or borrow a movie and make popcorn. Make it family game night. Kids will love this just as much if not more and it will be quality time spent with your family.

** Find Free Activities **
Think outside the box for fun free entertainment for your family. Kids love playing outside on the warm weather. Go for a walk, hike or take a bike ride. During the seasons, kids love egg hunts, sprinklers, jumping in the leaves and playing in the snow. My kids love to help plant flowers and water them...keep them involved. Head out as a family and do these things together...free!

** Cut Back on Cable and Cell Phone **
Cutting back to basic cable and cell phone service will save you money each month. Combining a service like Netflix, which offers a low flat rate for movie rental, along with your basic cable and chances are good you won't miss all the fancy extra's that add to your cable bill each month. Cut your cell phone plan to the minimum or eliminate it all together for more savings. I canceled my cell phone all together when the contract was up and honestly don't miss it. Sign up for a pre-paid plan which can run around $10 a month if you would like to carry a phone for safety.

** Plant a summer vegetable and herb garden **
Grow your own vegetable and herb garden to save on these items at the grocery store. Many nurseries and garden centers will help you pick out your plants and explain how to take care of them. A small financial investment and a little time can help save and you may find it to be something you enjoy doing!
