Sometimes print a Web page could result in an inpatient stress ... but not anymore after reading this note.

The Internet has its own special format that makes Web pages look good on screen. The same format, however, is not always good to be printed.

Even when you try to copy and paste information from a Web page from a word processor document, the format may be on the road. Still, you print Web pages may be easier with some keys and tips

Today, many websites have the print function on the same screen. This feature is often available for articles, instructions, forms, and similar documents. Look for the button or the word "Print (or Print)" at the top or the bottom of the article.

Using this button will print the page in plain text, ie without formatting. Although it is usual, this option is not always available.

If the page you want to print does not have a print button, you can see how it will look using the "Preview" on the File menu of your browser. If the "Preview" shows that the site is too wide or too long for the role, use the cut and paste, rather than print the entire page.

A little known trick to print

If you simply cut and paste information from one Web page to an e-mail program or word processor will happen more often than not, the text appears in the tables that are used to create the pages.

The text is framed in square boxes, or tables, and be extremely irritating to the word processor. Anyway, to remove these tables, you can use the following trick:

- Highlight the area of the Web page you want to print by dragging the mouse along with it.
- Press Ctrl and C keys simultaneously to copy the information to the computer's memory.
- Then, open the word processor program.
- Select Edit from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

And now is the trick ... Instead of choosing Paste, choose Paste Special ...".
- Then, from the menu that appears, select "Plain Text". All text on the website is copied, not the format.
- If you want to grab photos along with text, select, use the Paste Special ... "Text Format".

With this option, see the Web page with pictures and some formatting. You may also copy some links or addresses that did not want, but they are easy to erase.

Can really go crazy with these tables if you do not use the "Paste Special ...", when attempting to paste information from a Web page from a word processor. Drag the text that seeks to preserve off the table. Then delete the table underlined and clicking the "Table", and choosing Delete.

Page Setup

You can also control the printing of a web page using the Print in Internet Explorer. Click File, then select Page Setup.

The options here are limited, but you can select the paper orientation, margins, and the size of the sheet. You can also set the header and footer to print Web pages.

Whenever you print a Web page, the header will appear above and below the foot. These are used to specify information to be printed using the text and variables.

Unfortunately, the information in the header and footer is entered into a cryptic programming language. In Internet Explorer, headers are typical of this type: bPage & & w & p of & P.

This information prints the page title on the left, and the page number and total pages in the right hand (Page x of y).

This is a typical footer & u & b & d, it prints the URL of the Web page on the left side and date on the right. If you looked carefully at the header row will have guessed the function of these variables.

Then a more complete list:

& w - Web page title
& u - URL
& d - Date in short format
& D - Date in long format
& t - Time in short format
T & - Time in 24 hour format
& p - Current page number
& P - Total number of pages
& b - right aligned text (following & b)
& b & b - centered text (between & b & b)
& & - Simply the symbol &

Fortunately, once you decide what you want to learn to read and print the variables, you should never re-mount the header and footer. If interested, please do not hesitate to play the field header and footer. Mistakes are easy to fix, and can give you an idea of how to program a computer.

There are also some programs that can help you print Web pages quickly and easily. Some programs will even for you. If you have an ink jet printer will probably have one of these programs.

See if any of the programs that came with your printer used to print Web pages. The most famous is Easy-WebPrint, which comes with newer printers from Canon.

The Easy-WebPrint automatically configures the pages for printing. Allows you to print more than one sheet per page. It even allows printing in draft mode and grayscale, with a simple click.

So do not pull their hair out when Web pages are not printed correctly. With a little practice, you can print what you want, the way you want.
