Rebecca Black a singer who has 'build up' on Google Trends, Twitter, Face book, and YouTube for the song Friday sung by her. The record goes up to 2 million views on Monday to nearly 10 million today. Did the buzz all start with a tweet saying it might be the "worst video ever made?"
Take one listen and you'll be mimicking her repetitive: "It's Friday, Friday, Gotta get down on Friday... Everybody's looking forward to the weekened. ... Friday, Friday... Yesterday was Thursday, today is Friday. ... Tomorrow is Saturday and Sunday comes afterwards. ... " words in no time. As you maybe guessed, her lyrics are being soundly bashed at this point.
Like a younger, prettier version of William Hung, Black has become an online sensation based on her new music video, Friday, which is generally (and increasingly widely) considered to be the worst music video for some time. Enter Rebecca Black, the latest person to hit popular culture for all the wrong reasons.
The California based music production outfit has struck upon what appears to be a profitable business model: Taking absurd amounts of money from parents who can't say no to their precocious teenage daughters who reeeeeally want to be rock stars.
