There are a lot of elementary school bulletin board ideas that are fun for St. Patrick’s Day. St. Patrick’s Day is a fun holiday theme, and this article will provide you with detailed instructions on creating elementary school bulletin board ideas for St. Patrick’s Day.

Shamrocks

Shamrocks are a common theme for this holiday, and they are easy to make. For this bulletin board you will need green butcher paper, blue butcher paper, construction paper, pencils, markers, glue, and scissors. Discuss shamrocks and four leaved clovers and what they represent to our elementary school class before you begin this St. Patrick’s Day project.

Start the bulletin board by giving students green construction paper and pencils. Help kids draw three large hearts on the paper and a rectangle for the stem. Elementary school students can then cut out the shapes and glue them together to make shamrocks. Allow kids to decorate the shamrocks with the markers after they write their names on them.

While the kids are making their part of the project, the teacher can prepare the bulletin board. Cover the top of the board with blue paper and the bottom with green paper. Add a sun using construction paper if you like. When the shamrocks are done cover the green part with them to finish this St. Patrick’s Day bulletin board idea.

Pot of Gold

A Pot of gold is said to be at the end of the rainbow, and making a pot of gold bulletin board for St. Patrick’s Day is a fun idea. For this craft you will need to cover the bulletin board with paper. You will also need black oak tag, yellow construction paper, scissors, and markers.

Start by helping the elementary school kids cut large circles out of the construction paper. They should write their names on the circle and decorate it using the markers. While the kids are doing their part, the teacher should make a large pot out of the oak tag. This can be done by cutting the oak tag into a slightly flattened circle.

To complete this St. Patrick’s Day bulletin board attach the pot to the middle of the board and place each gold coin in the shape of a pile on top of the pot. You can also add a rainbow reaching to the side of the pot of gold if you like.

These bulletin board ideas are a way to get elementary school kids involved in celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.
