These tasty sandwichs will be sure to please your family

  You’ll Need:

  • A crock pot
  • 2-4 lbs of pork ribs, or a pork roast
  • Your favorite barbeque sauce
  • optional-onions and peppers
  • Place clean meat in the crock pot on low setting (I pull off excess visible fat, and rinse with warm water.) If I decide to add sliced onions, and / or pepper chunks (yellow, orange, or red bell peppers add great flavor), I do it at this time. I than put on the lid and go to bed for the night. Or, if preparing in the a.m., I go about my day and forget about for 8-12 hours.
  • After 8 -12 hours, I pull the meat off the bones, and remove any excess fat. The meat is falling apart at this time, and easy to work with (but hot). I than put the meat back in the crock pot, and shred it up with a fork. I add my favorite barbecue sauce (the Kraft traditional sauce is yummy) A 16 oz bottle will work for 4-5 pounds of meat. Use more or less, as to your desire. Heat through, about another 30 min. on low in the crock pot.
  • Spoon onto your favorite buns or hoagie rolls. A slice of your favorite cheese adds a little extra pa-zazz. Yum, they have been a hit at every pot luck, or meal I have served them at. If you plan ahead, they do not take alot of your physical time to prepare.
