Reasons Why Repitles Make Great Pets
Here are some reasons why reptiles make great pets.
In my opinion (and many other's opinions) reptiles make great pets for people.
Here are some of my reasons why reptiles make great pets:
1) Reptiles do not have fur or hair so people can't be allergic to them.
2) Reptiles come in many different sizes so you can get small ones if you don't have much room for a huge pet or you can get a big reptile if you have the room for one.
3) Reptiles have many different personalities so if you get more than one you won't get bored of them because they act the same.
4) You can hold a lot of reptiles (but not all) so you can have fun interacting with them.
5) Reptiles come in a LOT of different color patterns called morphs and a lot of new morphs come often so you can get a reptile that has the colors that you like
6) Reptiles have many different looks so if you want to have an awesome pet the people will want to see you can get a lizard with frills on it.
There are a LOT more reason why reptiles make great pets but I'm just going to post those for now (I'll try and add some more reasons soon).
Things to do before buying a reptile:
1) Please do your research on the type of reptile that you are going to get. So many people buy reptiles but they don't do research on the type of reptile that they get so the animal ends up getting the wrong care and it dies. All you have to do to find care sheets for the reptile that you want to do research on is type in "The reptile that you want to research (put what kind of animal you want to research where the bold words are) care sheets" in Google and websites that have care sheets for the reptile will show up.
2) Buy the supplies and set up the reptile's tank before you get it because if you get the reptile and you don't have everything for it set up and the reptile has to stay in the container it came in until you set everything up it will just make the reptile more stressed out.
Thinks that I've heard about reptiles that aren't true:
1) I have heard people that reptiles are slimy and that is not true at all.
2) I have heard people say that reptiles are mean and that is not true. Reptiles just think of us as a predator that is going to eat them so if we try to pick them up they will sometimes try to bite or get away because they think they will be eaten but reptiles will usually get used to humans and human contact so they will stop trying to fight back or they will try and fight back a lot less often.
