You know your house/office, is in need of getting organized. You know that you reach so easily things when you go directly to the location they are at or should be in.

Organizing your spaces can save you space, time and headaches.
Once you do it, you realize that was not such a difficult task to accomplish and it's a great feeling to know where things are at all times.

Start the day with some exercise to bring your energy level up.
You can do that before or after having breakfast!

Put some music on to stay motivated and distract yourself from trying to get to do other tasks or get munches; work on staying focused on the task!
Get comfortable clothes on so you can move around freely. Know which room you will start with, could be your home office or just your living room, kitchen; or do one room a week as your time allows you.
The Home Office

You should consider your home office as the brain of the house. You do all things from that particular space.

You pay your bills, keep track of all your paper work, do filing, shredding, recycling.

Having your office space organized help save you time when you need to find something quickly.

  • schedule the time
  • a filing caddy
  • recycle bin,
  • a bottle of windex
  • and paper towel of shamwow.
Starting with the office; once you decided to go with your office start de-cluttering of all old magazines, just save those articles you want to read again or refer to at another time and the rest Recycle!

Do your filing: that could be physical paper, placing it in the proper folders or bins (bills, invoices, follow ups)or it could be your e-mail.

Stay with the task, don't deviate to do other then placing those messages you save to the appropriate folders, or delete the rest of them; with the e-mails, it's very easy to get distracted, get into reading more and take time away from the initial project you started on that day.

Organize your desk, get ready for a smooth "next day in the office." Set your invoices/bills that need to be paid on your in box or Follow up box to get to them easily.

This will be a good time to also clean/dust or sanitize your desk, phone unit and computer. Dust all your desk organizer units as well.
