How to make a tomato bucket for growing delicious tomatoes

No more staking and tying up your tomatoes to keep them off the ground.First you must decide what type of tomato plants you want. There are hundreds of varieties. Once you've picked your plants, you need to turn the bucket upside down and cut a small hole in the bottom of the bucket. just large enough for the plant to slip through.

Start filling the bucket on it's side until about to your hole. Then slip your new plant through the hole. Firmly pack soil around the plant until you have to hang it. There are many places you can use to hang your tomato bucket. If you don't already have a place to hang your bucket get creative and make something.

After you have hung your bucket you can add more soil and then water.  Watering the tomato buckets are very important. being in a bucket the soil dries out quicker than if it were in the ground.  You can easily tell if your plant is drying out it will look shrivelled .Tomato buckets can also be attractive by planting your favorite flowers on top if you wish. It's like two gardens in one. You will ultimately have some of the best tomatoes you've ever had.

Sounds like a really neat way to grow tomatoes. I'll have to try it sometime.

This is a very interesting concept, I have never heard of it. I will have to try this if I plant tomatoes this year. Thanks
