Chocolate Cookie Cake

A recipe on how to make chocolate cookie cake.

Cake Ingredients:


2 cups of all purpose flour

2 cups of granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon of salt

2 sticks of butter

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (vanilla extract and imitation vanilla extract are both fine)

1 cup of water

3 tablespoons of coco powder

2 well beaten eggs

1/2 cup of buttermilk


Equipment Needed to Make the Cake:


Measuring Cups

Measuring Spoons

Bowls (to hold the cake batter)

Sifter

Sauce Pan


Cake Directions:


1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2) Combine the all purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt and sift them using a sifter.

3) Mix the sticks of butter, water, and coco powder together in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.

4)Mix the butter, water, and coco powder mixture into the all purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt mixture.

5) Grease and put flour into a cookie pan and pour the batter into the greased and floured cookie sheet.

6) Put the cookie sheet that contains the batter into the 350 degree oven and bake for 20 minutes.


Frosting Ingredients:


1 Stick of butter

1 1/2 tablespoons of coco powder

6 tablespoons of milk

1 box of powder sugar

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (vanilla extract and imitation vanilla extract are both fine)

1 1/2 cups of chopped nuts (you don't have to put the nuts in the frosting if you don't want to)


Equipment Needed to Make the Frosting:


Measuring Cups

Measuring Spoons

Sauce Pan


Frosting Directions:


1) Combine the stick of butter, coco powder, and milk in a sauce pan and stir until they are mixed together.

2) Add the powder sugar, vanilla and nuts to the sauce pan.

3) Turn on the stove just enough to make the mixture warm until the cake is done.

4) Evenly spread the frosting on the cake.

Tips and Tricks:

1) Make the frosting 5-10 minutes before the cake is done baking.
