A quick pick-me-up for your plants

Don't throw those coffee grounds away, instead give them to your plants. This article will show you how your coffee grounds can give your plants the same kind of pick-me-up that your coffee gives you.

Things you'll need:  Coffee grounds, newspaper

Place the newspapers on the ground or in a box. Pour the coffee grounds on the newspapers and smooth out until you have a thin layer. Leave out until the coffee grounds have air-dried.

Once the grounds are dry, you sprinkle them around the base of your plants. If you are using them for house plants, just sprinkle them over the surface of the dirt in the flower pot.
You will need to repeat this monthly. If you have a lot of plants, dry out your coffee grounds each day and put in a container with a lid so you have enough for your plants each month.
Coffee grounds also work very well in compost piles, so if you have too many grounds and not enough plants toss those grounds into your compost pile.
Leftover coffee? Mix with water and water your plants. Outdoor plants should get a one part coffee and 2 part water (1 cup / 2 cup) and for inside plants, you will want to weaken it a little more. One part coffee and 4 parts water.
