How to make Banana Bread
This article provides a step-by-step guide and recipe on how to make banana bread.
This is one of the easiest things to make. Whenever, I have any leftover fruits or old banana, one can guarantee that I will make banana bread. The ingredients are easy to find items around the house; it takes no time to put together, and bakes within 30 minutes. Even better it can be served hot or cold, with hot chocolate, tea or coffee. Who could ask for a better snack?
Things You'll Need:
1 cup wheat flour
1/2 all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar
2 bananas pureed or mashed (with fork)
1/2 cup pineapples blended or pureed
1/4 vegetable oil
1 egg
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pam spray
9" cake pan
small bowl
measuring cup
2 medium bowls
hand blender
sifter
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step1: I am small bowl beat egg on medium speed. Once egg is an even yellow color and fluffy, add sugar and continue to blend by hand. As the egg-sugar blend reaches a more even composition, add vegetable oil and vanilla extract and blend at a medium-high speed until it's a creamy-smooth composition. Then set aside.
Step 2: In a medium bowl combine dry ingredients. Add wheat flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon and fold or shift until it's an even composition.
Step 3: Then use a fork and mash bananas by hand or use blender and puree bananas and pineapple together. Pineapple can also be cut into small pieces and then hand blended with banana.
Step 4: Combine egg and sugar mixture with pineapple-banana mixture at medium speed until blended. Then mix wet and dry ingredients at medium speed and increase speed to medium-high or high as batter becomes more and more viscous. Blend until batter is one composition.
Step 5: Preheat oven at 350 degrees.
Step 6: Let batter rest for a few minutes. Then spray 9 inch baking pan with Pam spray and coat with flour. Pour batter into baking pan and or loaf pan, place in oven and let bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
Step 7: After it's been baked remove from oven, let it cool for 5 minutes, cut into small squares then serve or serve while hot! Bonne appetite!
Tips & Warnings:
Nuts are a great option.
Icing (confectioners) sugar is a great topping.
Egg whites are a great substitute for eggs.
Pineapple is just my fruit of choice; however your favorite fruit in conjunction with banana is also a great option.
