Former professional wrestler Andrew Martin, also known as Test on the WWE circuit, died yesterday at 33 years of age. Martin was a very popular wrestler during the nineties when he performed as Test at various Wrestlemania’s and other title events. He also performed under the stage names The Punisher, Big Foot, and T. J. Thunder. Sadly, many professional wrestlers have been found to loose their lives before there time. The exact cause of Andrew Martin’s death has yet to be determined.

Andrew Martin was born March 17, 1975 in Canada and joined the WWE in 1998 when it was still known as the World Wrestling Federation. He was a member of the popular wrestling teams The Corporation and The Union under the stage name The Test. He was released from his contract with WWE in 2004 after undergoing spinal surgery, although he returned briefly in 2006. Martin largely retired from the professional show business of wrestling, but, like many former wrestling stars, he continued to compete in smaller venues after his years with WWE. He most recently worked with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, until permanently retiring in 2007, announcing that he did want to be one of the aging wrestlers who was always talking about a big comeback, according to a Wrestle-Complex story.

In Andrew Martin’s final blog post on My Space, he discusses returning from a trip to Tokyo, Japan that he very much enjoyed. He writes warmly about the professional and personal contacts that he met with during his trip as well as how much being greeted by his excited Japanese fans meant to him.
