This No. 1 Steak Marinade will cost you about .90 centens per batch. It's easy, good, and will make you're steak tastes just like it came from a resturant.

Steak Marinade Ingredients

2 Tbsp. bottled lemon juice (or juice of 1 lemon)

1/2 cup of soy sauce

1/4 cup of dry red wine

3 Tbsp. of vegetable oil

2 Tbsp. of Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp. of minced garlic

Mix the ingredients together. This is enough to marinate 1 1/2 to 2 pounds of meat in a glass dish, turning occasionally, for 2 to 12 hours in the refrigerator.

Rubs are great, but they call for a large number of dried herbs and spices. If you buy the name brand spices at your supermarket, these rubs will be fairly expensive to make.

Instead, check the spice aisle at your drugstore or Wal-Mart to buy these basic spices for 50 cents to $1.00 for a large jar. You can also buy them in the bulk section of your local health-food store rather than paying $2 to $3 dollars for a small jar of just one of the spices at a supermarket.
