All that singing in the shower may finally pay off.  If you're have a singing voice, you may be eligible for a grant (money you do not pay back) from your state.  Most State Art Agencies offer grants and fellowships for excellence in music performance and music lovers can CASH IN on their singing talents or other musical abilities.

In Maryland, the State Arts Council Awards individual artists $1,000 to $6,000 dollars for artistic excellence, and that includes solo musical performances.  Your state agency most likely offers a similar award.

To find out if your vocal talents or other musical accomplishments can reward you with a grant of $6,000 or more, google your State Art Agency, and read what they have to offer you for free.  It's there in plain site.  Check your telephone directory.  If you know someone who might need to apply do not pass this up.  Have you ever heard about someone singing on youtube and all of a sudden they are hitting it big time?  Well here's your chance.  Don't just sit there wondering.  There's free money out there to help you.  The government does not tell anyone about this, but once you apply it's there for you.  Give it a try.  What do you have to lose?
