Mike Tyson ex-Wife Speaks about Rihanna and Domestic Violence

The ex-wife of former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson advised actress-singer Rihanna to 'get out now' amid reports that the popular singer and Chris Brown are back in each other's arms after they figured in a domestic violence controversy

Actress Robin Givens, ex wife of Mike Tyson, speaks about the recent Rihanna-Chris Brown domestic violence as she talked about her own experiences of domestic abuse during her marriage to the former world heavyweight boxing champion.

She said that there are similarities between her own story of domestic violence and those of others and she called them ‘amazing’.

‘I find that my story is their story, their story is my story-down the details’, she said. ‘He dragged me down the hall by my hair. He pulled me out of bed by my panties. He would like to choke me. He would kick’, Givens revealed.

Givens, who is now spokesperson for the National Domestic Violence Hotline described how Tyson’s emotional apologies made it difficult for her to walk away, Daily News reports.

Her advice to Rihanna: Get out now.

The Rihanna-Chris Brown story took center stage in the entertainment circle during the past few days with their domestic violence controversy.

Rihanna is a popular singer and model from Barbados. She also serves as the cultural ambassador of Barbados and the first Barbadian artist to win a Grammy Award.

Chris Brown, 19 has been charged with two felonies after allegedly punching, choking and biting Rihanna, 21, on the day of the Grammy Awards.

Brown turned himself in to the Los Angeles police and was released on a $50 thousand bail.

Chris Brown’s attorney is expected to try to strike a deal with the District Attorney’s office that would give him probation and no jail term.

In the meantime, the case continues.
