There are many different revolutionary war weapons. The following article will illustrate the top four that were used.
Musket

The musket was the most commonly used weapon used in the revolutionary war. The musket is a lot like a rifle. It has a long barrel which makes it easier to aim at targets further away and maintain a level of accuracy (which was still poor by today's standards). The major downside to the musket is the load time. It took at least a minute to load and you only got one shot. Often in the heat of battle, one would take their shot and then revert to other means of combat.
Pistol

The pistol was a great secondary revolutionary war weapons. It was strictly a close up weapon though. You had little or no accuracy at a distance. The barrel was approximately six inches and overall size is about the size of a banana. This also was a difficult use though because of the extensive load times.
Cannon

Cannons were great revolutionary war weapons. Again, long load times, but at least the cannon did not need to be as accurate in order to deal damage to its target. The large cannon balls weighed in at about six pounds. These were valuable on land, pulled by horses, or on ships.
Sabre

Less a weapon and more a tool, the saber was used by generals and other officers to direct troops. It was more of a classical symbol of leadership than anything else, but its sharp blade could prove to be beneficial in the heat of the moment.
There are lots of weapons which were used in the revolutionary war, but these are by far the most common. Many others were simply farming tools or variants of them.
