Your equine friend deserves a one of a kind stall sign! Make your sign reflect the physical traits of your horse. Here is an easy, fun way to make it.

Select a nice piece of wood for your base. Make sure that it is flat and not warped. Paint your base in a color that will allow your horse's name to stand out.

Next select unpainted, wooden letters at your local craft store. There are many styles and sizes to choose from. Select the style that fits you and your horse. Paint your letters in a fashion that reflects your horse's physical characteristics. Choose the same color or colors as your horse along with any markings that he or she has. I have a tri-colored Paint, so I made my letters show not only my horse's colors, but also his markings. When your letters are dry, attach them to the base with a strong craft glue. Allow glue to dry and then nail letters into the board with very small nails for added stability. Apply two to three coats of a water resistant sealant to your finished sign. Hang on your stall and listen to the compliments roll in!
