Is your Cable or Satellite TV subscription paying for itself? In other words are you watching the channels you are paying for?

Is your Cable or Satellite TV subscription paying for itself? In other words are you watching the channels you are paying for? With the US economy getting worse by the day some people will need to trim some of their monthly bills. With streaming video over the internet many manufactures are finding innovative ways to bring internet streaming video straight to your television set. The following steps will provide a guide how to break away from subscription cable or satellite TV service.

Step1:

This is the most important step. Analyze your television viewing habits and make a list of what you watch. Include regular TV shows, movie channels, cable specific channels like History, Travel, Sports, Science, etc.

Step2:

With the list you made compare it to internet streaming video websites like, Hulu.com, TV.com, etc. Some may find that what they watch may be available for free on these internet sites. If that’s the case you may be able to do one of two things.

Step3:

You may be able to downgrade your cable or satellite subscription to basic service and add a TV set Box for streaming internet TV.

Step4:

You may be able to cancel your cable or satellite subscription service and go to over-the-air TV antenna to view your local channels. By supplementing this with a TV set Box for streaming internet video, you will be able to watch many free movies and even old TV shows.

Step5:

See my additional resources for links of manufactures that make TV set boxes to bring streaming internet video right to your television set. These links are just some of the manufactures that have TV set boxes out on the market now. The second have of this year there will many additional boxes coming out with new technology being developed jointly by Intel and Adobe. To find these new boxes in the second half of this year just Google “Streaming Internet TV Box”.
