Money can be earned online through revenue-sharing offered by many websites. Read through the tips and insights including hove to increase earnings.

Nowadays there are many dot coms offering money to write online and share knowledge – content writing, blogging, and writing reviews, summaries or abstracts. All these share-revenue sites are free to join and almost all of them offer a lifetime royalty as long as articles are posted and available.

How Much Money can be Earned

There is no exact amount to content payments. They are usually given according to page view, and rarely given as upfront payment.

Some sites pay 10% of its advertising revenues to the writers while others go up to 50%. Make sure you read the small prints that go with it.

As a writer, you get paid for page views that your articles get. Bukisa, for instance, offers a higher amount per 1,000 page views as compared to some of the more established Web content sites. They also have what is called the Bukisa Index, in which the rate of payment to be earned is dependent on how much the site earns.

When and How is Money Received

Monies are received when at least $10 is accumulated by the writer in most sites. Others go by a minimum of $50 which can be carried over to the succeeding month if the writer hasn't reached that ceiling. Few others already give a payment when you reach $.50 in a month.

Payment is usually made by PayPal in which opening of an account is free. In countries in which PayPal are inoperative, the writers receive payment by check.

Benefits

Some sites offer a benefit in which members can form their own network consisting of recruited people to write for them. Bukisa is an example. Like multi-level marketing, anyone who joins through a member's network becomes a part of the member-recruiter's network. The aim is to make money for the recruited member as well as the member-recruiter. Whatever earning is shared to the recruiter does not cost a penny to the person recruited because the revenue sharing will come from the site.

Site Content

Different sites focus on different things. Others promote how-to articles while another site, on writing summaries and reviews. Overall, most sites promote practically anything. The limit is the writer's knowledge, capabilities and time.

Subject Content Media

Contents can be in text, slides, video or podcast.

Publication

Most sites immediately publish upon submission of the writer. Others take almost 48 hours.

How to Increase Earnings

Write many articles, write quality articles, be familiar with search engine optimization (SEO) and how to inject key words, create links to your articles, join social networks including your subject interest groups, invite everyone you know to read your article, and it does help, to write what you know. Otherwise, if you need to research, keep your sources handy.

And more…

For anyone interested with a particular site, ensure you read the FAQ and about the company before anything else. Some reviews on the site are often available if you do a search. You can also "ask" around to find out more about the site. Also, be aware that some sites are only available for writers residing in the US, Canada and UK.

Thanks Icy. Nice to hear from you. Hmm, we need to keep reminding ourselves, that one day instead of cents, we’ll get hundreds. ;)
