Obviously a mistake in the construction of a bridge or any poor quality of a bridge will have a bad effect on the overall performance of a bridge. If one member were to be shaped in correctly, or made smaller or bigger than the other parts the performance of the bridge will be affected, as that member may be much more weaker than the other members and this will cause an imbalance in the forces acting on the bridge. This will cause the bridge to act in a way that it was not made to. This holds true to the saying, “A team is only as strong as its weakest player”.
