Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings

Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings are similar in some ways. They both involve magic and the head guy for both movies/books look a lot alike. Both movies/books also involve magic. I wonder if J.K Rowling stole some of her ideas from the Lord of the Rings trilogy? Probably not but you never know. In the 6th and 7th books of Harry Potter J.K. Rowling introduces us to a Horcrux, A horcrux can be any simple object that you put part of yourslef in it, but to do that you have to kill someone, it rips your soul apart and that is how you put part of yourself in a horcrux. In Lord of the Rings, the ring is quite similar to a horcrux, and one of the Horcruxes in the Harry Potter books is a ring. The person who created this Horcrux has other Horcruxes as well becuase he killed seven people to create 7 Horcruxes, he did that becuase he wants to live forever. All of the horcruxes have to be destroyed for that person to be killed. If you are a Harry Potter fan like myself you would know that the person that i am talking about is none other than Tom Marvolo Riddle, he is actually Lord Voldemort.
