How to Boost Your Blog Traffic
So, you have your own blog, but know one is really coming to it, what now? Set yourself up for success and send more traffic to your blog.
So, you have your own blog, but know one is really coming to it, what now? Set yourself up for success and send more traffic to your blog.
GIVE YOUR READERS something substantial. Readers need to get something from your blog, whether it is a good laugh or some sage advice. It needs to be worth their while to read it. It is best to write timeless pieces so people keep coming back to the things you already wrote.
CREATE NEW CONTENT. The search engines like to see new content. You do not need to write new content every day, but at least two times per week, you should write something new. Your readers will appreciate it and your search engines will like it also.
DON'T OVERDO YOUR KEYWORDS. Put your keywords in your first line and last line of each blog. You can put in somewhere in the middle also. Never have your keyword listed more than 6 times in your article of 100 words or less. Make sure your keyword or keyword phrase is placed at the beginning of your article and at the end.
THREE or FOUR WORD KEYWORD PHRASE is best. Do not depend on a single word for your keyword, that is too competitive. Find a good three word keyword phrase. Research your keywords thoroughly, find out who your competition is. Keyword research will help you find the best keywords for your topic. Do not just guess or make up your own keywords, find what keywords are being searched for in your topic.
