One Silent Night: Sherrilyn Kenyon

When people think of romances they think of books that are filled with sexual context and things like that.  Sherrilyn Kenyon's novel One SIlent Night is one novel that stands out because it doesn't have that kind of sexual context.  It has romance elements and sexual scenes, but it isn't filled with it as some other romances may be.  She storyline follows that of children of Greek gods.  There is a war between two races, and Daimons and demons that involve humans and gods alike.  Stryker is the son of Apollo and sets lose War on the worldin order to kill two of his enemies as revenge.  Little did he know the series of events that would result from it.  Demons and vampires at war with each other, his first love comes back into his life with a surprise.  Apollo puts a curse on a specfic race that if they don't turn Daimon (vampire like race) they will die before they turn 27 years old. It really is a captivating story.

Kenyon's writing style is amazing.  She keeps her readers captivated and wanting more.  I read the book within a day.  Her descriptions of not only the surrounding, and characters, but also their feeling and emotions.  She has the ability to make her readers relate to how the characters are feeling and what is going through their minds.  She lets you into different aspects of the story that some authors don't allow readers into.  Kenyon pulls you in with her descriptions right from the start.  Many times when novels start with in depth descriptions tend to fall short as it progresses, but not Kenyon.  She just makes you want more and her wording is like no other.  It is precise and to the point, yet paints the greatest picture for her audience.

One Silent Night is one of several books within her series Dark Hunters.  Each book within the dark hunter series has different characters, but follows the same idea of the battle two the races and the Apolloite curse, and warriors for Artemis which are the dark hunters.  The idea of the storyline for this novel and the other novels in the series is unique and different.  It is one that draws you in and keeps you wanting more of not just the story and it's characters, but more of the series, and better yet, more of Sherrilyn Kenyon.
