Boost Your Energy Level without Caffeine

Feeling sluggish? Need an energy boost? Want an alternative to the caffeine rush? Here are some natural ways of adding a little pep to your step.

Idea One

CHANGE your thoughts. There is a mind-body connection. Thoughts affect how we feel. So think positive thoughts. Positive thoughts make you feel better.

Idea Two

AROMATEHRAPY. Nice aromas also make you feel good. Get some scented candles, incense, potpourri, oil rings or fresh flowers. Essentials oil like chamomile, lavender, rosemary and peppermint are good energy boosters.

Idea Three

GET some sunshine. Spend a few minutes in the sun. Open the blinds and curtains and let the sunshine flood your room. Sunlight stimulates serotonin which helps regulate our mood and emotions.

Idea Four

LISTEN to music. Grab your iPod. Load your CD player. If you're old school put the vinyl records on the turntable. Listening to your favorite songs energizes your mind and body.

Idea Five

DANCE. While listening to your music you might as well dance. Dancing is fun. Dancing increases energy. It also reduces stress, improves strength, slows the aging process and burns calories.

Idea Six

EXERCISE. It makes you feel more energetic. It also boosts serotonin levels.

Idea Seven

HAVE a good laugh. It's said that laughter is medicine for the soul. Laughter stimulates feel-good chemicals in the brain. So what are you waiting for? Watch a comedy or talk to a funny friend. Get your laugh on!
