Spice Up Your Writing
Using action verbs, imagination, and including facts can make your writing more exciting!
If you want to keep your writing exciting, fresh, and fun to read, you have to think like a chef. You need to add some spices in your sentences to bring out the flavor, and you have to put in your own twist to make a special recipe. Here are three tips to get you started.
Use your imagination! Do you want your sentence to jump out at your readers? Do you want your reader to feel what you are feeling? Do you think your readers can see in their mind what you are describing? Think of some adjectives to add in describing a view. For example, the mountain view outside my window is beautiful. How beautiful? What is beautiful about the mountain view? This sentence can be vividly seen by adding a couple adjectives such as: the mountain view outside my window has a shimmering touch of the sun ray.
Use action verbs! Write strong sentences with specific verbs. Find at least five other meanings for the same verb that you want to use. For example, if you want to use the word "jump", what can be used beside jump? Leap! Bounce! Spring! Soar! Rise! These words are simple, has the same meaning as jump, but they are fresher.
Incorporate some facts! Using facts to back what you write can add credibility. If you are writing about a specific place, it would be more interesting to add a little bit about the culture, tradition, or the time zone. You can search for this information online, or magazines, brochures, or maps.

Haha...Action verbs...I will remember that. :D By any chance, do you happen to run into a glitch on Bukisa? The 'glitch' I am referring to is copying and pasting documents (such as a long story, or something similar), and then having it say there are "disallowed key characters?" I have been experiencing that issue ever since I joined to the point where it becomes extremely difficult to even submit stuff to bukisa...any help in this area would be appreciated. (http://www.bukisa.com/articles/57252_something-bukisa-really-needs-to-fix) is the link to a few errors reported... Thank you for any help you might have! -Fresh Writing
