The Laptop on The Legs of a Man Dangerous to The Sperm

One study suggests that increased testicular temperature in the heat of a laptop to dangerous levels

The testicles are being heated with heat from a laptop resting on his legs to levels that may be hazardous to the reproductive health of men, according to U.S. scientists.

The study, published in the magazine's Web Fertility and Sterility, affects warn of the risks that have already been warned by another pioneering research in this field, the Center for Reproductive Medicine Nascentis, Cordoba (Argentina).

The findings of the Argentines were obtained through the analysis of semen samples and were published in July, while the study released Tuesday confirmed the risks and discusses potential approaches to prevent.

In particular, the work of the U.S., by the urologist Yelim Sheynkin of the State University of New York, measured the temperature rise experienced by the scrotum.

Few options
In the conclusions, the authors left few options for a man who wants to work with your laptop sitting on a couch, or with their legs open or closed, or with a protective cover can prevent dangerous overheating of the testicles.

The study leaves no possibilities: either with the legs open and closed, or with a protective cap

And although research on the impact of laptops on male fertility is still limited, several studies have shown that increased one degree Celsius may be sufficient to damage the sperm.

U.S. scientists concluded that "scrotal temperature increased significantly irrespective of the position of the legs and despite the use of a protective cap on the legs ".

To achieve results, the researchers recruited 29 men with no health problems in 60-minute sessions in which they had to use their laptops on their legs.

The test was performed three times with different positions. In the first, the men supported the machine on your legs closed and the second was repeated the same position but with a lid which supported the computer.

Legs closed, worse
On the third attempt, they asked the men spread their legs at an angle of 70 degrees and the protection cover under the laptop.

If men opened their legs, the temperature rise was slower

All tests resulted in a rise in scrotal temperature, but the increase was greater in the first two, when the legs were closed.

However, if the men opened the legs, the temperature rise was slower as it rose one degree Celsius in the first 28 minutes.

In contrast, when the legs are kept closed in the other two tests, one-degree increase occurred at the eleven fourteen when I had the lid.

As the Argentine study, the experts concluded that occur mobility damage and DNA fragmentation of sperm if these cells were near the computers.
