Tips for writing

A few things i do when i find it hard to find something to write about or lack feeling in my writing.

Sometimes I find it hard to write and can’t see my next line. (  my mind is even blank now to what we call this!)

Sitting here a while ago i decided to play some of my old music, and wow the memories that came rushing back filled my mind with new ideas. Some painful memories but some happy ones as well.

Another thing is to get up and go for a walk and look at your surroundings, there are so many things that go through your mind when outside. The world is full of inspiration.

Watching television also a good trigger for thoughts, as after all you can write about anything and most writers can find inspiration in the most bizarre things.

Doodling on a pad sometimes releases what is really on your mind, another idea for a piece of writing!

One last thing, go though old photos, another good trigger for memories. I always find that writing from feelings and memories end up becoming my best, most viewed pieces as they are more emotional.

They may sound like obvious things to do, but I just thought I would share my little ideas with you all.

Please feel free to comment and share your ideas also.
