Constipation Doesn't Have to Have Serious Causes

When you suffer with constipation, go and see a doctor – a knowledgeable one!

A long time ago a friend of mine complained that she had constipation. It is not unusual for her to have constipation but this time things went too far – for about a week! This is not only unpleasant, this is outright scary and could be very dangerous, too.

Being a regular constipation sufferer, my friend didn't rush to the doctor right away. Nor she tried some of the constipation treatments she knew. You see, the problem with constipation treatments is that your colon gets used to getting help and becomes even lazier. So it is not recommendable to start taking pills and applying various other ways to clean your colon simply because you haven't visited the toilet in the last 1-2 days.

What is more, some doctors treat you as a nag, if you bore them with constipation complaints. You aren't dead (yet), so why are you complaining? My friend's doctor must be of this type because the previous times she complained about constipation, he told her that since examination didn't prove any serious reason (i.e. an internal disease), there is no reason to worry that much. He also told her that if things don't improve, she could take some of the pills he had prescribed or have a cleanse.

It is true that constipation can be a symptom of many serious diseases, such as cancer, but the fact that she, fortunately, didn't have cancer or any other disease that could lead to constipation, wasn't much of a comfort because the toxins were still in her body and they needed to be removed.

I don't remember how exactly she learned the solution to her constipation problem. I think she complained to a friend, who had kids with frequent constipation and this friend shared her knowledge. The kids' doctor had told her to make them eat soup – at least 4-5 times a week. Soup is fluid and it helps bowel movement.

When my friend, who hates soup, learned this amazing fact, she started cooking soups for her every day. Well, she doesn't enjoy eating them that much but since they are so vital to her, she frowns but heroically eats them. Soups have helped her solve her constipation problem. The solution is so simple, yet powerful.

And her stupid doctor didn't even mention the obvious fact that constipation can be the result of the wrong diet – i.e. a diet without any soup. I myself could never trust a doctor, who is so ignorant and who doesn't pay attention to simple things as diet and way of life but rushes to treat you with pills and other medication.
