Bake a "happy Birthday Jesus" Cake For Christmas

Nov 10th, 2010 by Princess Polly

a recipe, instructions, and the story on how to bake a birthday cake for Jesus.

Christmas is the birthday of Jesus, our King.  There are many traditions to celebrate this special day.  If you want to add one to your gathering or start a new one, here is one way to do this.  Bake this "Happy Birthday Jesus" cake and share the story about it.  Then light the candles and sing, "Happy Birthday" to Jesus.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS CAKE

1 Chocolate Cake mix

1 - 2 Cans of white frosting or homemade

12 red candles

fresh evergreen trim

angel

star

Bake cake according to package directions in two round layer cake pans.  When cooled, frost with frosting between the two layers and all over as directed.

The chocolate cake represents our sins.

The white frosting represents cleansing our sins.

The red candles represent Christ's birth to shed His blood shed for our sins.

The evergreen placed in a circle around the base of the cake represents eternal life.

The angel represents angels proclaiming the birth of Christ.

The star represents the 3 wise men following the star to worship baby Jesus.

After decorating cake with each item, then it is time to worship Jesus' birthday by singing "Happy Birthday, Jesus!"
