Italian Meatball Recipe

An Italian meatball recipe that can be used in spaghetti sauces, casseroles or however you wish.

Meatballs are great in spaghetti sauces, in various casseroles or over buttered noodles. They also work very well as appetizers.  You can make the meatballs ahead of time and freeze them. If you have an event coming up, you can double the amount of ingredients, freeze the meatballs and have plenty on hand for the event. Meatballs are versatile in the way you can use them. With a little creativity you can find even more ways. This Italian meatball recipe has been enjoyed by everyone who has tried it.

Italian Meatball Recipe Ingredients

1 pound of ground beef
1 pound of ground sirloin
2 large eggs
1 cup fine cracker crumbs
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 - 2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup finely diced onion
oil (olive oil can be used)

Note: seasonings can be adjusted to your taste

Italian Meatball Recipe Directions

Combine ground beef, ground sirloin and eggs. Mix well. Add cracker crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic salt, black pepper and diced onion. Mix until you have a consistency that sticks together well.

Pour a small amount of oil in a frying pan. Allow oil to get hot. Form meat mixture into balls and place in frying pan. Allow meatballs to brown on the outside until slightly crisp. Then cook on low heat or bake in a 350 degree oven until done.
