Step 1:
Start the PSA Diagnostics
1. Restart the system.
2. At the Dell logo screen, press F12.
Note:
Some systems do not have an F12 key, to access the boot options you have to press the <0> (zero) key at the Dell logo screen.
3. At the One Time Boot menu, press the arrow key to highlight Diagnostics, then press to begin PSA.
4. Write down any error codes listed.
5. Use the list provided in the next section to see what the error code means.

Caution:
Remove any and all power sources Including but not limited to: AC Adapter, Battery, or Desktop Power Cord, before you remove or reinstall an item in your system.

Memory
Remove and reinstall the memory for the error codes:
Please see the Service manual for instructions on how to remove and replace the memory.
After reinstalling the memory re-run the diagnostics if you receive the same error code Contact Dell.
Hard Drive
Remove and reinstall the Hard Drive for the error codes:
Please see the Service manual for instructions on how to remove and replace the Hard Drive. Be sure to remove and reinstall the cables for the hard drive if you are on a Desktop Computer.
After reinstalling the hard drive re-run the diagnostics if you receive the same error code Contact Dell.
CD/DVD Drive
Remove and reinstall the CD/DVD Drive for the error codes:
Please see the Service manual for instructions on how to remove and replace the CD/DVD Drive. Be sure to remove and reinstall the cables for the CD/DVD Drive if you are on a Desktop Computer.
After reinstalling the CD/DVD Drive re-run the diagnostics if you receive the same error code Contact Dell.
BIOS/Motherboard
Download and Update the BIOS for error codes:
An out of date BIOS can cause any of these error codes.
Visit the Dell Drivers and Downloads website and input your Service Tag to get updates specific to your computer.

The Diagnostics runs tests that need to have user interaction, Error codes below are because of no user interaction:
Re-run the Diagnostics while being at the Computer to interact with the Diagnostics.
Video Card/Graphics Card
Remove and reinstall the Video Card on a Desktop Computer for error codes:
Please see the Service manual for instructions on how to remove and reinstall the Video Card. Be sure to remove and reinstall the monitor cables.
After reinstalling the Video Card re-run the diagnostics if you receive the same error code Contact Dell.

Fn + Power - PSA / PSA +/ PAID (After PSA or PSA + MP Memory Test is done)
Remove Batter plug in the adapter and press power (hold) - PSA
RCD - 32 bit Diag
Desktop Diag Test
Ctrl + Alt + D - 90 90 Diag
RCD / Utility Partition - 32 bit diag
Monitor - Self Test press "-"
RCD - Memory Diag
