At the top of my shortstop rankings, again, is HanRam. However, his lead over Tulo is shrinking quickly. Considering the lack of depth, at this position, I think Tulo could make a very good first round draft pick. The big drop off comes after Reyes, at that point you have a group of past their prime former stars (Rollins, Jeter, Furcal) and young unproven or just one dimensional players (Andrus, Desmond, Castro). If you do miss on the top two or three at this position you will have to choose between the two or just take the safe bets for reliable mediocrity (Drew, Ramirez, Scutaro, Bartlett). My suggestion would be to either over pay early for one of the big three or to take a solid veteran and back them up with a mediocre veteran. While the young guys do provide a lot of excitement, there will be growing pains and, if you are trying to win, that is not something that you want to have to deal with.
