How to Work Smarter with Sites that Multitask

Here are some of the top visited social networking, bookmarking and article writing sites that give you more results for your time:

When you are working to promote your website, there are a few good places you can use to bookmark and shout about your site.  Here are some of the top visited social networking, bookmarking and article writing sites that give you more results for your time:

  • StumbleUpon
  • eSnips.com
  • Clipmarks
  • Yahoo!buzz
  • MyLot
  • Xomba
  • Krumlr
  • Bukisa
  • Associated Content
  • Triond

Each of these sites has something special to offer.  When considering which sites you will use, it is important to consider how much time it will take you to bookmark and shout your pages.  You should also think about which sites will make it easier for you to promote in more places at once.

Firefox Toolbars

The easiest bookmarking sites will offer you a toolbar that is integrated into your Firefox browser.  These sites are StumbleUpon, Facebook, Clipmarks, Krumlr and eSnips.  Clipmarks has the benefit of auto bookmarking to Delicious. It also provides easy links to some of your favorite bookmarking sites like StumbleUpon, Facebook and Digg.  Krumlr is a fun new bookmarking site that will automatically post your Krums to Twitter.  eSnips gives you an HTML box for your profile where you can also advertise your website free, making it well worth the click or two you need to bookmark your page.

Article Marketing Sites That Autopost

If you are using articles to market your site (and you should be!) some writing sites will autopost for you.  Triond will auto post to Twitter, so turn this feature off if you are also using Krumlr.  You do not want to annoy your Twitter friends with duplicate Tweets. This same principle applies to Bukisa and Associated Content.  Bukisa gives you easy links to Stumble, Delicious and Reddit when viewing your article. Associated Content will autopost to Facebook and your WordPress blog as well as Twitter.  The bonus you get from Triond, Bukisa and Associated Content is that your articles will also earn you passive income.

Troublesome Sites

While the above sites are great to use, there are some bookmarking sites that are hypersensitive to spam and a nuisance to use.  While spam is NOT okay, it is also not okay for these sites to ban all authors on a site because there have been a few bad apples.  For instance, Reddit will only allow you to post a link once every five minutes.  Digg has banned some important article sites like Xomba, HubPages and Bukisa (although you can get around this with Clipmarks). Shoutwire has also banned Hubpages.

Non-Multitaskers Still Worth Your Time

There are two sites worthy of navigating to a separate web page to post your links.  One is Yahoo!Buzz.  Because of the power of Yahoo!, it is a vital resource for promoting your site.  The other place worthy of your time is Xomba.  Xomba has an enormous worldwide readership and an active community forum, making worth the extra time and clicks.  Xomba also offers passive income for articles.

Honorable Mention

MyLot deserves mention here, although it is not really for posting links.  MyLot is a social forum that pays you passive income to post and answer discussions.  The passive income attracts a lot of visitors.  In addition, you can select topics in your niche and scroll through the discussions, adding helpful information to readers and offering the name of your site.  In addition, MyLot gives you an HTML box to post your links and advertise your website in an effective way.

Use the power of the most efficient bookmarking sites, social forums and article sites to see more traffic at your website and higher revenue in the bank.
