Those bottled coffee creamers you buy at the grocery store make your coffee taste great but are quite expensive. Did you know you can make your own at home? It so easy and inexpensive... you'll wonder why you haven't been doing this all along!

Things You’ll Need:
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 C regular milk (non fat or reduced fat is fine)
  • 1 tbs vanilla extract
Open the can of condensed milk carefully. It is very sticky, messy stuff. Pour it into a 1 quart-size bottle with a tight fitting lid. Scrape the can with a rubber spatula to get out all of that precious, sweet, sticky stuff that will make your coffee sooo much better.
Measure the milk and add it to the condensed milk in the same container.
Measure and add the vanilla. You can also use other flavors of extracts to make your favorite flavor. See "tips" below for a couple of suggestions, or dream up your own.
Put the lid on the bottle and shake vigorously until all the yellowish colored condensed milk at the bottom is mixed in with the milk.
Add to your coffee as you would purchased, flavored creamer and enjoy. I found that less was needed as it seemed to be sweeter than what I was used to. You can adjust the amount of milk you use to get the desired sweetness per serving.
  • You can easily make other flavors as well by using different extracts. Make Amaretto by adding cinnamon and almond flavors.
  • Make chocolate mint flavor by adding cocoa powder and peppermint extract.
  • When you shake the creamer, it makes lots of nice foam as well!
  • Your creamer should last for a couple of weeks in the fridge.
  • Shake well before each use.
