Easter eggs can be decorated so many different unique ways it's all up to your imagination. Are you a mom looking for easy ways to decorate Easter eggs for your child that will look cool? You can make disco eggs, checkered eggs, lace eggs, stamped eggs, tie dyed eggs, sponged eggs, and even crayon eggs, but this year I want to share with you how to make Silk Tie eggs.

Making silk tie eggs are very easy, cool, and your kids will enjoy this Easter egg project. So how do you make silk tie Easter eggs? To make these Easter eggs you will need the following items:

A couple of hubby's old silk ties or you can cut up a few silk boxer shorts your husband no longer uses

6-12 Large Eggs

A large Glass pot

1 Used plastic tablecloth (Any color will do)

1 Small package of garbage twist ties

2-4 Tablespoons of White Vinegar

Brush

Canola oil or you can use Baby oil

Newspaper and a spoon to lift eggs out of pot

First step- Take your silk ties or boxer shorts and start cutting square pieces of them. Make sure though the square you cut is big enough to wrap around the egg. If you are using the tie you should be able to make at least 4-5 silk eggs with it. Try to pick a tie that has a really colorful and crazy print on it. This way your Easter egg will have a lot of character to it.

Second step- Once you have all the squares cut out start by taking one at a time and wrap the silk material around the egg. Please make sure when you wrap the silk that the print side is laying flat on the egg. The more the print is facing the egg the better your results will be. If you really want a crazy Easter egg design you can cut 2 small squares from 2 different ties glue them together then wrap around the egg.

Great and colorful ideas! You could also pick up some cheap silk ties at yard sales or Goodwill stores.
