Halloween Party Games

When planning a Halloween party, you can include party games as a fun activity. This can be for children, adults, or both, as you are never too old for party games! There are a few games that are fitting for a Halloween themed party. The games are a lot of fun and are great for getting into the Halloween spirit.

If you are planning to throw a Halloween party, then here are a few Halloween party games and activities you can consider planning and playing.

Bobbing For Apples.
For this game, fill up a huge bucket with water and apples. Let everyone take turns bobbing for apples by trying to pull them out by their mouth or teeth. See who can pull out the most or see who can pull them out in the quickest amount of time.

If you do not want everyone to use the same bucket, you can provide a few buckets and fill each one up with water and three to five apples. Have everyone begin bobbing at the same time and the person who can pull out all of their apples with their teeth or mouth will be the winner.

Halloween Musical Chairs.
This game can be played the same way a regular Musical Chairs is played, with everyone walking or dancing around the chairs and trying to sit down when the music stops before the seats are filled. But you can add a bit of a Halloween twist to it. Play only Halloween related music or horror movie themes and have everyone walk or dance in a spooky way as they move around the chairs.

Horror Movie Trivia.
This can be a fun game for anyone who is into horror movies. One person can come up with trivia questions about various horror movies. This person will be the one who will ask the questions during the game, as they will already know the correct answers. Everyone can then split into teams or play individually, trying to guess as many questions correctly as they can. The team or person with the most questions correct by the end of the game wins.

Pumpkin Carving.
Split everyone up in teams and have them carve their own pumpkin in any graphic they would like. Then everyone can show off their pumpkins (you can also see who has the best, but do so in a polite manner. This is supposed to be for fun, not hurting anyone's feelings). Do not put a time limit on the game, or keep the time limit reasonable. You do not want anyone to rush when they are using sharp tools.

Storytelling.
What would a Halloween party be like without a spooky story. Everyone can gather around and take turns telling parts of one big story, or they can each take turns telling their own story. If there are children present, remember to keep the stories age appropriate.

The Halloween party games you play and how you play them will depend on the age groups present at the party. You can pick one of two games or play them all. Whichever game you pick, they will all be a lot of fun and allow everyone to celebrate the Halloween season together.
