review of an excellent restaurant I ate at when I was growing up.

Dear readers, I know it has been a while since I have written any restaurant reviews. Life gets busy and I have been updating writings on various other websites. Anyway, there is a restaurant I grew up eating at regularly in West Texas known as flamingo's 50's hamburgers. They recently closed down in my home area due to the economy but I still believe they were great.

If I were to come across a flamingo's 50's restaurant somewhere else in the country, I'd definitely eat there. They have built a reputation for unbeatable burgers, I believe their demise in my area was due simply to the fact that better known burger places were chasing out any competiton. I am not big on Mcdonald's or burger king because I believe they use too many gimmicks to get customers.

I would choose flamingo's 50's over McD's any day of the week, I especially like flamingo's 50's icy slushies. They are snow cones basically, but bigger and better. Dear readers, I suggest if there is a flamingo's 50's in your area, you give it a go. I think we the people could bring flamingo's 50's back to my area.

How? Popular demand of course. Flamingo's made my home town a better place, seeing it go under due to this economic issue offends me.  Thank you all for reading and I think a petition needs to be started to bring flamingo's back. It was restaurants like flamingo's that I went to after a hard day of working, whether it was house cleaning, or upkeeping my dad's real estate.

Flamingo's has more of a right to be in my home town than some other places. Some other places are eyesores. The staff at flamingo's 50's always made customers feel welcome, their facilities were always clean, and their menu is one that deserves to be in restaurant halls of fame.

I would consider it a great place to visit if it were still open, tourism would have helped it out a lot but being right on the border of Texas we didn't get much.
