Designing and posting image ads to craigslist takes some time and practice but it is actually very simple once you get the hang of it.

First you will need to design your image ad. First thing you need is some great design software. Abobe photoshop is great but if you want something free that is just as good download gimp shop. Once you have the sofware downloaded it's time to play!

You will see two tool bars. You will primarily use the one on the left for this particular task. If you run your mouse along the items, it will tell you the function. Let's keep it real basic for your first time. 2

In the left toolbox (go to file).
choose (open new) this will open a new page.
In your new page (go to file).
Choose (open as layer) this will take you to an option to choose files from your computer. (choose an image or logo).

Bingo! You have a photo or logo on your page. You can adjust the size by choosing (layer) then (resize or scale layer).
You can also move the photo or logo to a desired place by choosing the toggle in your left menu bar. Hint: it looks like an x. 3 Next, it's time to add your text. Choose (T) in your left menu bar and the click on your page where you want the text to be displayed. A window will open up to type your desired text. You can change fonts and color in your left menu bar. Once you have your text situated...you have an ad!

Now go to the file option on your image page and click save as. Save it as a jpeg file. Now you can open up your photobucket account, upload your ad, and obtain your html format to paste into your craigslist ad.

Practice makes perfect so just keep playing around with the program. You can do some really "cool" things with it. Good Luck!
