Whether we are highly educated or not we all need to work to earn money to complement our daily expenses. We should find ways on how to find a good job so that we can have a better lifestyle. But we cannot deny in real world that it is not easy to find this job. We have to grab every opportunity that comes in our way and we should not waste time for nothing. You should plan ahead of time especially in making your application letter, so that you can generate a lot of fruitful ideas and become more fit on every details of the job you want to have.

In writing an application letter you should achieve your main purpose which is to catch the attention of the employer, making him/her qualified you in any position you are applying for. In your letter, be honest and be humble enough in presenting yourself. Humble in the sense that the employer will like your attitude. But before you apply you should know more about the company you are applying so that you can communicate harmoniously. It can also give insight to the employer that you are very interested to become part of their society.

Here are some advices on how to make every paragraph of your application letter as effective as possible. Please read and follow diligently.

In writing an Opening Paragraph, you must state in the first sentence why you are writing and/ or the position or type of work for which you are applying. State how you heard of the opening or organization, including the name of your reference person, if applicable. The last line should give a brief synopsis of who you are and what you can contribute to the organization or position. A good way to do this is to indicate the top two or three skills that make you a great fit for the position. The first paragraph should be three to for sentences.

In the Middle Paragraph, explain why you are interested in working for the employer by demonstrating your knowledge of the organization, and tell the employer how you well perform in your desired position based on concrete reference to your previous accomplishments. Think from the employer’s point of view as you write. How are you a good fit for the organization? Enhance your resume by connecting the dots between what the employer wants and how your past experienced will enable you to fill his/her needs. When appropriate, talk about the results of your past responsibilities. Write with concise, confident statements. Remember that this letter will serve as a writing sample. If this paragraph starts to get long, split it into short paragraphs to make them easier to absorb.

Lastly for Closing Paragraph, indicate that you would like to talk with the employer in person to further discuss the opportunity. Give your phone number and email address (no hyperlink) in case they would like to contact you for further information. State your planned next steps, such as calling to ensure that your application materials have been received. Close by thanking the person for his/her time and consideration.
