How To Take Backup Of Chrome Browser Data (Bookmarks...)
This article will help you all to take the backup of your chrome data without using 3rd Party Tool. It includes Password, Bookmarks, preferences, Settings and all.
I know there are many 3rd Party Tools are available to perform the operation but we can do it without those Tools also.
Well It is Very Simple To take Backup of Your Bookmarks in Chrome without using any other 3rd Party Tool. Simple steps are.
Taking Backup of All Bookmarks:
Steps:
1. Open Your Chrome and Make sure that Bookmark Bar is visible on the TOP
2. Now Right Click on Bar and select "Bookmark Manager". One Dialogbox will appear.
3. Next step is, In that new Dialogbox - you can see "Tool" menu. Click on it and select "Export Bookmark" (You can select the Parent Folder of the Bookmark To take all Backup)
4. Specify the Location.
End Result - You will get one HTML file with all Bookmarks are in it as a HTML links.
Other way is Go to:
C:\Documents and Settings\[user login name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default
And From here you will get - Bookmarks file. Where you will get everything.
Next Thing is PASSWORD:
I doubt this is possible. Because even if you will get the data it will be in different Format.
The BEST way is To Take the Backup of "C:\Documents and Settings\[user login name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome" entire folder. This will get you everything which includes Passwords also.
Above [user login name] = replace your login user profile name
I hope this will help you.
Thanks!
