Make Quick Money on The Internet For Answering Texts

Oct 12th, 2010 by Anna T

Most people think there's no real way to make quick money on the internet, but you can. Do you like to text? Most people these days do. Fortunately, there are several different companies that are willing to pay you for answering their incoming text messages.

So how can you get paid to answer texts?

It's not too hard. Apply to several companies that will let you get paid to answer texts. There are at least three, including ChaCha, that are fairly well known. You will be required to take a few tests to be sure you are a good fit for the job, and if you pass, you can start earning money right away.

How much does it pay?

Pay varies depending on the company you are answering texts for, but many people are able to make quick money on the internet at a rate of $5 to $6 an hour for doing nothing more than sitting in front of the computer, answering random questions.

What exactly do you do?

When you answer texts, you are not doing it using your cell phone. A customer will text in a question to a certain number, which may be about anything you can think of. The question they ask shows up on your computer, and you must do the research and answer the question for them -- all with your own personal computer. Send them the answer back, and watch the pocket change add up.

Is the job fun?

Most people seem to think so. It's always fun to wait and see what people might ask. You're likely to get lots of funny texts, but you must also be prepared to get texts that might make you uncomfortable. Most companies have different policies for dealing with these types of questions.

Are there any benefits?

The majority of these companies hire you on as an Independent Contractor, which means you probably won't qualify for insurance, 401k and things like that. The company will also not take taxes out on you, which means you'll be responsible for that yourself.

Who would be a good fit for a job like this?

Stay at home moms, people who are retired, disabled, or students trying to work their way for college may be ideal for this job. It's also something good for practically anyone who is just looking for a little extra pocket change to do in their spare time. You can make quick money on the internet doing this, but you won't get rich. However, every little bit usually helps.
