It can be pretty tough to lose belly fat after a C-section, but it definitely is possible if you dedicate yourself and work hard.

  • Lose Belly Fat Before You Get Pregnant

Before you even try to conceive, make sure that your body is in great shape. This will help you dramatically with regards to losing belly fat post-pregnancy.

  • Eat Healthy to Lose Belly Fat

Eating a healthy diet is important during every stage of life, especially during a pregnancy. Since you won't be able to workout immediately after having a C-section, it's important to eat healthy immediately following your pregnancy - especially if you're breastfeeding. You should be eating healthy anyway right? You can do all the ab exercises you want after having a baby, but if you don't eat healthy, you're still going to have belly fat. Stay away from processed foods and sugar as much as possible. Eat plenty of protein and whole grains each and every day.

  • Breastfeed to Lose the Belly Fat

Breastfeeding is not only natural and the best for baby, but it's a great way to burn an extra 500+ calories per day! Burning those extra calories will get you back to your post-pregnancy weight even faster.

  • Exercise to Lose Belly Fat

Design an exercise routine for yourself that includes both cardiovascular activities and strength training exercises. Start out slow after having a C-section but remember that some physical activity is better than none at all. Walking is a great activity to start out with.

  • Be Consistent, Determined and Have Patience

Remember how long it took for your belly to get as big as a barn? It will take some time to shrink back down. The quickest way to lose the extra belly fat is to have a great diet and exercise program that you are able to follow regularly. Remember to give yourself a rest day or two during the week so you don't get burnt out and just quit altogether.
