Creating free daily printable crossword puzzles can be fairly easy if you know the steps.

Steps for making free daily printable crossword puzzles:

  1. Determine what daily themes you will use for your free printable crossword puzzles.
  2. Decide on your entry words and make sure to vary the word lengths for interest and make it easy to fill in your puzzles later.
  3. Count the total number of word entries and total letter spaces needed to create your printable puzzles.
  4. Construct a grid size that best represents your total number of entry words and total number of letters.
  5. Most standard  crossword puzzles are 15 x 15 but there can be many other printable variations and the format can be  changed easy daily.
  6. Write your clues for the entry words. You can use definitions, facts, trivia, synonyms, antonyms, etc. to keep your puzzles interesting to use daily.
  7. Number your questions and their corresponding answers, then divide them in half randomly to build the across and down categories of your puzzles.
  8. Place the numbered answers in your pre loaded grid program and try to fit as many words together as possible, working from left to right and down one line at a time.
  9. Now start at the top left and fit in the down answers using a matching letter in each of the across entry words and fill as much of the puzzle as possible.
  10. Save your free crossword puzzles and you can format them to be printable on a daily basis!

What you will need:
