The sun is shining and you don’t have a care in the world at least that is how it seems to be, but what really happens when the sun touches you and is it all beneficial. The sun brings you warmth and light and you spend much time in the sun so that you can look good.

All that time in the sun has an affect on you in many different ways and most of them are not very beneficial to your health. Let us explore how the sun affects the human body and what you can do to protect yourself.

The top of your head is the nearest to the sun, which means it will get the most heat and the affect can be for you to have headaches, this is a sure sign of heat contact with your brain.

Prolonged exposure of your head to the sun will cause a loss of brain cells and potential brain tumours in later life. Always wear a hat in very extreme temperatures.

Now think about why you wear sunglasses, obviously to protect your eyes from the brightness of the sun, but the sun’s rays can also cause damage to the interior of your eyes and maybe loss of sight as you get older.

It is not just the heat and brightness of the sun that will hurt your head and eyes that you need to be concerned about. The heat of the sun will burn unprotected skin causing blood disorders and dry skin due to the loss of your skins natural oils

Always use a skin cream that is strong enough to provide you with the protection from the sun that you need. And put it on all of your skin that is exposed to the sun.

Then there are the ultra-violet rays that come with the sunlight, these will have multiple affects on the human body, but the worst affect is the forming of skin cancers with the high exposure of your body to the sun.

Yes, sun protection creams will help, but the real answer is much less exposure of your body when the affects of the ultra-violet rays are at their extreme.

All or any of these adverse affects to your body will mean that the sun may cause your eventual death. So think twice before venturing out into the sun and use all of the recommended protection that you can.

When it is raining your thoughts may well turn to days full of sunshine and you will welcome the sun when it arrives, but just like in the rain you will need to protect yourself from any adverse affects.
